Rev. Bob Bridges
My continued prayer is for the body of Christ to develop into an army
of servants, doing the work of the ministry. There is such joy in
fulfilling what Jesus has called us to do. The pastoral team is
committed to helping you find your niche in serving.
My priorities for the coming year.
First, make First Time Attenders feel like they walked into the
friendliest church in the nation. If statistics hold true, we'll have a
third more visitors this year than regular attendee's. May we welcome
them with open arms, and bring them into the fold. I hope not a service
goes by without several visitors being present. Pray to the Lord of the
Harvest to use you to invite the unchurched.
Second, may the children become a priority. CLC has implemented
teaching our children from birth upwards. The nursery has moved from a
babysitting time to a training center. Invest in their lives. Give them
hugs; let them know they are appreciated.
Last, may CLC become a training center for adults as well. Mike Y is
starting a yearlong discipleship class for the men. We have training
for women, not only on Thursday morning, but Thursday night as well.
Thank you Carol L for stepping up and opening your home.

The Youth have chosen to be called the Fireproof Youth because they
believe, "Our God, whom we serve, will rescue us from the blazing
furnace." Just as God delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Our vision statement
Set the example for our church and our community.
1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are
young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in
love, in faith and in purity."
Our purpose
Explore - Locate and reach the youth of our community
Educate - Teach the gospel and grow in Christ
Empower - Build Christian leaders
Execute - Send these young leaders out into worldwide ministry

As your Worship Coordinator, I desire to ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in the Holy Place with the whole family of God, old and young together. This ministry in song is not about us (the worship team), but it is for our Redeemer. It is He that we honor and praise--it is He that we focus on. This brings unity in the family --as we come together and agree that He is bigger than our problems--thus, through this vehicle of "Worship & Praise," we speak and sing the words audibly and these words bring renewed life and hope to our very being. As we worship God actively in our services, the spirit of heaviness is broken and the worshipper is able to enter into the Holy of Holies; together, we can ascend the hill of the Lord and stand in His holy place.
Since corporate worship is the core of the church life, we strive to base our worship on the Word of God. We have a balance of both the traditional and contemporary worship music in our services, which enables "one generation to declare his works to another." Let us rejoice in the songs of the young, and revere the songs of the aged as well as those who are worshipping now from the galleries of Heaven. We will diligently choose and perform music that will accomplish the following:
EXALT the Lord (Psalm 99:9) EXPRESS purity of heart (1 Tim 4:12) EDIFY members of the body of Christ (Rom 14:19) ENCOURAGE world evangelism (Matt 28:19,20) EMBRACE excellence in performance (1Chr 15:22) EMPLOY a variety of styles (Eph 5:19) ESCORT people into His presence (Psalm 100:1-4)
Anyone who serves in the capacity of promoting the corporate worship experience is part of the worship team. Therefore, with humility and a grateful heart, I say to each of you who serve, thank you for your dedication and faithfulness to this ministry. Thank you for always refining your skills and living lives of utter consecration to our Lord. Thank you for allowing God to minister through you.

My first year as CE Directory has passed with many challenges. As CE Secretary, I thought I had a good idea of how CE worked. Little did I know how complex it could be. Now we are entering a new phase with two Morning Services and I know there are opportunities for those who want to serve.
Sunday School offers a Parents and Babies Class for babies ages 0-2 and their parents and an Adult Education Class at 9:30 AM.
Super Church is provided during both services. Super Church is divided into two sections, one for 3-6 year olds not in first grade and another for 1st through 6th grades.
Each year CLC provides Vacation Bible School to our community. In 2005, we had nearly 100 kids each night and more volunteers than ever!

Cathy is the woman who keeps the CLC office and pastoral staff humming along. If she doesn't have the answer, she can usually give you an idea of a good place to go looking for it.
